Pre-Med/Pre-Health Financial Aid

Financial aid may be available if you enrolling in the School of Continuing Education pre-med/pre-health certificate program and/or courses to prepare for a graduate program in medical or related sciences.

What aid is available?

  • Direct loans only. No Pell Grant available
  • Annual Limits:
    • $5,500 subsidized, dependent undergrad
    • $5,500 subsidized, independent undergrad
  • Aggregate Limits (this is the total amount you are allowed to borrow for your entire undergraduate career):
    • $31,000 dependent undergrad
    • $57,500 independent undergrad

Who is eligible?  In order to qualify for financial aid, you must:

  • File a 2019-2020 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution
  • Be enrolled in certificate coursework that prepares you for admission to a graduate program in medical or related sciences (Note: courses being repeated in order to boost your GPA are not eligible for financial aid and could disqualify you from financial aid eligibility for any future semesters)
  • Take a minimum of six (6) eligible credits per semester, enroll continuously
  • Maintain a minimum 3.0 or greater GPA at the end of your first eligible semester
  • Stay enrolled for 12 consecutive months (Note: any gap in your enrollment will disqualify you from financial aid eligibility for any future semesters)
