Significant projects: Served as Chief Lobbyist for the City of Providence at both the Federal and State levels. Drafted and successfully lobbied for the Providence Arts District, the first district in the country to provide income and sales tax incentives for artists. Served as the lead facilitator on many economic development projects, including the Providence Place Mall and signature hotel projects. Professor McLaughlin also serves as a consultant to higher education institutions and independent schools in the areas of Advancement, Admissions, Marketing, Communications and Alumni Relations.

Biography: A proud alumna of PC, Professor McLaughlin has been an attorney for over 30 years. She has served in the public sector for 15 years, notably as the first female Director of Administration and Deputy City Solicitor for the City of Providence. Professor McLaughlin has also held leadership position in both higher education institutions and independent schools while also teaching General Law at PC since 1999. Her personal interests include teaching both yoga and mindfulness in community and workplace settings.
