Biography:
Nicholas Sumski is an Ethics & Compliance Officer at Fresenius Medical Care, North America (FMCNA). In his role, Sumski advises business partners on compliance matters, working with them to understand and control for potential compliance, regulatory, and privacy risks. He helps manage and oversee the FMCNA Compliance Program.
Sumski is a licensed attorney in Massachusetts. Prior to joining FMCNA, Sumski interned with the corporate counsel office at Athena health, a healthcare technology company. During his time at Suffolk Law he served as the Lead Articles Editor for the Journal of Health and Biomedical Law and published an article on Medicare cost-containment policy and the Affordable Care Act. He also worked as a student attorney in the Health Law Clinic where he provided pro bono representation for low-income clients and their families, successfully advocating for them in various guardianship and social security disability matters. He received his bachelor’s degree in History from Providence College.
