Biography:
Dr. Hibbard brings 40+ years of experience in education to our Teacher Certification Program (TCP). She taught K-12 special education in South Texas, New York, and North Carolina, and she lived and worked with young adults who have intellectual disabilities in a supported living group home. Dr. Hibbard completed her BS in Education at Lesley College (now Lesley University) and her M.Ed. at N. C. Central University. After completing her doctoral degree at UNC-Greensboro., Dr. Hibbard returned to New England in 2000 and taught at Framingham State University until 2015. After retiring for three months, she joined the Providence College family and became the TCP Coordinator. Dr. Hibbard also works with the Professional Pet Assisted Therapy certificate program in SCE.
